FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. It's beautiful. I want one! How does it come? A. We offer the 300SL in various stages of completeness, The factory will partially build the 300SL for you doing the harder mechanical part of the project to what we call the rolling chassis stage. This gives you a great head start on the project. Q. You mean the Gullwing comes as a kit project that "I" can build myself, or as a completed ready to drive turn key? A. Yes. We are flexible, like a Hamburger, "you can have it your way" from a "Project Kit" with all of the parts in a box, to a rolling chassis with a lot of the basics done, to a fully completed one with paint and upholstery ready to drive away (our turn key level). Q. If I decide to build it myself what other parts would I have to supply? A. The frame comes set-up to receive the Mustang II front and rear suspension which is the independent type in the front with ventilated disk brakes and rack and pinion steering. This combination gives excellent handling characteristics. The most popular engine options are the GM 350 V/8 or the Ford 302 V/8 with either automatic or manual transmission. Additional donor car parts are: steering column, pedal assembly, wiring harness, battery and radio. Q. You mean I would have to go to a wrecking yard and scrounge a bunch of greasy used parts? A. No. Most all of the "donor" parts needed to build the Gullwing can be purchased new when you purchase the chassis and body from "The Gullwing Factory". Q. What creature comforts are available? A. Power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, heat, air and defrost, leather interior with burl-wood dash and trim is also available. Q.
